The Ghana Chamber of SMEs was established with a mission: to be the voice, advocate, and network of support for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) across the country. Recognizing that SMEs form over 60% of Ghana's business community and are a dominant source of employment and GDP, the Chamber was established to provide structure, support, and advocacy to this vital component of the economy. We are a non-governmental, non-partisan, membership-based organization that promotes the interest of SMEs in every nook and cranny of Ghana. Our core mission is to craft an enabling environment under which small and medium-scale enterprises can flourish, expand, and compete—both locally, as well as internationally. We engage policymakers, financial services firms, development institutions, and regulators to ensure that the voice of the SME is being heard and incorporated into national economic planning.
Our objectives are founded on six key pillars:Policy advocacy and development – We push for SME-friendly policies, tax reform, regulatory relief, and public procurement access.Business formalization and compliance – We support informal businesses with registration, taxation, licensing, and standards compliance procedures. As a trusted partner of private and public institutions alike, the Ghana Chamber of SMEs connects small businesses to great opportunities. We further possess a national SME operators database, which allows us to respond quickly to evolving needs of our members alongside informing data-driven policy and investment. No matter whether you're a start-up entrepreneur, an experienced business leader, or an SME development interest, the Chamber is a home where your ambition is advocated, your voice is amplified, and your business is empowered to succeed.

Together, we are building a stronger, more diverse, and more resilient economy—one SME at a time.
